Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue

About This Item

The most advanced wood glue available.
Titebond III provides superior strength, a longer open time, and compatibility with all finishes.

Peghead repairs and bridge reglues demand a strong bond.
We've tested lots of glues in our shops. For the strongest bond, our go-to glue for repairs and new builds is Titebond III.

  • 10 minute open time—5 minutes longer than traditional Titebond
  • Superior strength—breaks at 4,000 psi
  • Waterproof—great for laminating wooden bindings before bending
  • Dries hard and sands easily without clogging up
  • Safe for all finishes and resists solvents
  • Cleans up with water and releases with heat

Best for fingerboards

Glue of choice for all kinds of oily wood fingerboards.
Though it doesn’t dry as hard as others but yet it can be scraped easily. A real superior strength.

Rubbery

I tried this based on Stewmac's glowing endorsement. Nonetheless, while this glue may have slightly superior strength over Titebond Original, it is quite rubbery when dry and subject to the dreaded 'creep' factor. I tried it on a couple of repair jobs and there was noticeable creep. I'll be returning to Original from now on. I've seen many comments on various luthierie forums where this glue is not considered acceptable for instruments, I'm afraid I have to agree.

Stewmac delivers the right tools

I was fixing quite expensive Warmoth neck with incorrectly drilled holes (there are luthiers, and wanna-be-dreamers).
I bought Spider-Bridge Saddle Blank from Stewmac to cut some maple pins, and then used the Titebond III to glue them in place. That glue gives very good, clean and strong joins.
Fixed also broken chair (because why not?).

Definitely recommend!

Great glue

I use Titebond 3 to laminate my sides as it is a bit stronger then TB 1 & 2 and is healthier then using epoxy. Good stuff.
